We are now at the end of our Real Women Blog series, and we’ve had such a positive response! This week we are introducing Sophie Essam, our fifth and final real woman of the series. Sophie is a primary school teacher based in Torquay. As you can see, she is beautifully modelling our Kestrel Cigar Brown Leather knee high boots. Sophie wears a foot size EU37 (UK4) with a calf size of 32cm. We’ve had a chat with Sophie to find out a little more about her day to day life and what she loves most about her pair of DuoBoots!

Hello Sophie, let’s get started by you telling us about your passions in life and why you love them?

That’s easy. My husband and my baby daughter... they fill me with joy, pride and eternal love on a daily basis.

Where is your favourite place in Britain and why?

Torquay because it’s the place we call home and where we are making our memories.

Torquay is beautiful! But if you had to pick your favourite place in the world... what would it be?

I’d have to choose Italy, because that’s where we got married and it will always have a strong place in my heart.

What do you like about the style of boots you’ve chosen?

I love the colour of the dark brown leather; the tones of the boot are lovely and rich. Also the shape of the knee high boot is stylish but also timeless – which makes them really easy to wear.

What is your favourite item of clothing and how does it make you feel?

My wedding dress – it’s amazing!

If you could design your own DuoBoots, what are the main features that you would choose for it too have?

I would design a flat knee high boot or a boot with just a slight heel. I would have the boot made from tan leather, and I would probably design it in a similar style to the Kestrel that I’m wearing now.

What or who would you say inspires you daily and why?

My family. My husband because he is inspirational in every way, and my daughter because she is full of love and wonder!

If you don’t mind us asking, what is your guilty pleasure?

Chocolate and cheesy sing along songs!

What about your favourite takeaway?

I would have to choose a good Chinese.

You can only take 3 things with you when you are sent to live on another planet. What are they? (No people)

I’d have to go back to basics and take food and water. Then my third item would have to be my mobile phone!

And finally, just so we know what makes you tick...here’s a quick fire round!
