Suede care – to keep your suede boots or ankle boots looking their best please use a suede spray protector before your first wear and at regular intervals. Use a natural suede brush to remove marks.
For boots to look their best they need to fit you beautifully. That's why we offer a choice of calf sizes so you can find your personal fit.
- Sit down and place your feet flat on the floor.
- Wrap a tape measure around the widest part of your calf.
- Measure both calves to the nearest 1cm (use the wider measurement when placing your order).

For ankle boots to look and feel sensational they need to fit you perfectly. We offer different width fittings - to help find a perfect fit that feels amazing to wear.
FIND YOUR FOOT WIDTH:
- Place a fabric tape measure on the floor cm side down.
- Place your foot on the tape measure and stand firmly on top of it.
- Measure around the circumference of your foot at its widest point – usually from the bone just below your big toe, to the bone below your little toe (the tape measure should be at slight angle)
- Make a note of your measurement. It’s quite common to find a slight variation in size between each foot, so it’s best to measure both feet and use the wider measurement.
- On the Ankle Boots page select your foot size and then choose your corresponding width fitting.

Just great!
Great design, looks very good even on bigger calf. Also very comfortable. Material difference between front and back sides almost not recognizable.

I own numerous pairs of Ankle boots from DUO but this is my first pair of boots and I'm so happy. I was dubious about buying as I don't usually wear boots but I'm so glad I went for it. They are so flattering and comfortable. I went for a smaller calf size than measured as I read about the stretch panel at the back and this was a good decision even when wearing with skinny jeans. I'm 5'9 and these are the perfect height. The foot is also a great fit (I am a size 9). Whenever I buy new shoes I always expect a short period of discomfort or rubbing but these were so comfy from the first wear. I literally don't have a bad word to say about these boots! They go with everything. It's nice to find a company that caters for all shapes and sizes and acknowledges that everyone is different . They are more than what i would normally pay but if I look after them and spray them I'm certain they will last for many seasons.
Truly epic pair of boots
I became a huge fan of Duoboots many years ago when I ordered my first pair of boots. Excellent quality, very comfortable and every year some new inspirational designs. I come back almost every year and buy a new pair just because they are so beautiful. The Tunstall Black Suede boots are a true highlight in my collection. They are surprisingly flattering for my wide calf legs and so comfortable. I ordered my usual size and they fit perfectly, so no need to size up as some other customers recommend.
Nice boots
Based on the other reviews I sized up on these boots and they are perfect, if not slightly large, so I did not experience any sizing problems. I do agree with the review stating that the description is misleading, the whole back half of the boot is made up of a stretchy suede like fabric, which I am concerned could be pulled away from the foot part, so care pulling on is recommended. But saying all that, they are a lovely everyday boot and the price wasn't too bad either. Would be nice to see in other colours.
Read before you buy!
Thrilled to have found some black suede over the knee boots that I can easily wear over jeans. I don’t have particular large calves but I do have two other regular pairs of OTK boots that are so snug that I just couldn’t wear them with trousers tucked in. These are beautifully made and look super on however there are two things I have to point out.....the first being that I had to return the first pair I ordered in my usual size 7 (not a 6.5, a perfect 7) as they were ridiculously small. Then opening the box my first thought was no way are these a size 7! Even when I took out the removable insole I couldn’t squeeze my feet into them and manage to walk. They seemed like a size 6 or possibly smaller. So they were returned for a size 8 which fit me perfectly. I checked reviews and found there were others who had the same problem so I called Duo Boots to make them aware of the fact. Secondly, the description is quite misleading as the boots are described as having a stretch suede panel. This is quite a large panel around at least half of each boot leg BUT it isn’t suede at all, it’s fabric. So if you’re expecting a pair of full suede boots don’t buy these based on the description. However, I like these so much and they fit perfectly that I’ve decided to let this go. DuoBoots were very helpful and I would highly recommend them and thank them for sending out my replacement boots so quickly.
